Brad Beyer as
Stanley Richmond Born on September 20, 1973, Brad Beyer is a native of Waukesha, Wisconsin.
In talking about his hometown, he said, "When I tell people I'm from Wisconsin, they call it the cheese state."
"I was kind of a jock, but I had a friend who was an amazing piano player and another friend who was a great writer, and we used to make movies together," Beyer said about his school days, when he was still discovering his passion for the arts.
He first encountered acting when he was at the University of Minnesota, when he attended an acting class for non-theater majors. He immediately caught the acting bug and was convinced by his professor to head to New York to pursue an acting career upon graduation. He followed his professor's advice and ended up working on an off-Broadway production entitled The Chili Queen, which garnered him much attention, especially from a casting director who recruited him for two films on the same day. He was successful on both auditions and got to star in the movies Crazy in Alabama and The General's Daughter.
For the film Crazy in Alabama, he collaborated with Melanie Griffith, of whom he commented, “I loved working with Melanie Griffith. I think she's one of the sexiest women in the world.”
Making his television debut on
Law & Order in 1996, he played the role of Jack Miniver. In 1999, Beyer returned to the stage to perform on an off-Broadway production entitled Wonderland. He again graced the
Law & Order franchise by appearing on
Law & Order: SVU also in 1999, where he played Dennis Caufield. In 2000, he appeared as Arthur in
Sex and the City , and subsequently lent his voice to the film Twelve, playing Zach Taylor. In 2002, he worked on The Perfect You and Sorority Boys, subsequently appearing on the drama Third Watch as Sgt. Jason Christopher. He also appeared on Hack,
CSI: Miami and E-Ring.
In 2007, Beyer was cast for the role of Stanley Richmond on the CBS post-apocalyptic drama, Jericho.
