Jennifer Morrison, who has been cast on The Murder of Princess Diana and in the Rob Schneider’s film Big Stan, isn’t the only House cast member with an upcoming film. House lead star, Hugh Laurie, is also set to star in a new film called The Night Watchman.

Laurie, a 48-year old native of Oxford, England, is an award-winning actor, comedian and writer. Apart from playing the role of Dr. Gregory House, he is known for his roles on Blackadder, A Bit of Fry and Laurie and on Jeeves and Wooster. He has also worked in films such as Stuart Little, Flight of the Phoenix, Maybe Baby, The Borrowers and Sense and Sensibility.
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.

Scheduled for release in 2008, The Night Watchman is an adaptation of James Ellroy’s script that follows a Los Angeles Police Department officer who has difficulty in dealing with the death of his wife. As a dedicated and veteran cop, he always goes beyond the call of duty to keep the neighborhood safe. However, some evidence implicates him in the execution of a fellow officer, becoming convinced that he can no longer use the tactics that made him an effective officer of the law. Eventually, he struggles to redeem himself upon discovering the corruption in the police force.

Aside from the House star, the film also features Keanu Reeves as the lead character Tom Ludlow, along with Chris Evans, Naomie Harris, Forest Whitaker, Jay Mohr, Martha Higareda and Kirstin Pierce among others.

Initially under the direction of Spike Lee, The Night Watchman is now under the direction of David Ayer, credited for Training Day and Harsh Times, while Alexandra Milchan, Lucas Foster and Erwin Stoff serves as the producers of the film.
