Far from his throng of female fans and away from the cameras constantly recording his every move, Zac Efron is somehow a different person. The High School Musical star may be a Hollywood hotshot, but he's the type who knows how to have fun on his own.
One of the activities he really enjoys doing is skateboarding. But this slightly introverted celebrity doesn't have to travel to skate parks for that. He has his own installed inside his own home.
On an interview with Britain's Glamour Magazine acquired by
Contact Music, the 22-year-old actor revealed how excited he was about the design of his house. Earlier this year, he purchased his first home and had special features to accommodate his skateboarding passion.
"It's unique, very modern, very clean, very simple, with concrete floors so I can skateboard inside the house," Efron told the publication. He even admitted that it was really built to keep him indoors and away from the spotlight.
"Living in Los Angeles is tough," the
High School Musical actor added. "Normality is so skewed and it's not something your friends and family can relate to, nor is it even fun to talk about."
But despite having his skateboard needs at home, Zac Efron admits it's no comparison to the outside world. Just as long as he's alone, that is. Or probably with his girlfriend,
High School Musical's Vanessa Hudgens.,
"I love the outdoors - there's something about when there's no one around that I'm drawn to," Efron said.
Unfortunately, that just isn't the case when you're a star. Zac was spotted last week with Vanessa, throwing a dinner party for all her castmates in the
Sucker Punch movie, along with her makeup artist. The affair was held at Joe Forte's Seafood and Chop House in Vancouver, according to the
Daily Fill.
The couple went on to entertain their guests, as a source revealed that the group even played musical chairs for everyone's amusement. Zac Efron may not be getting some time for himself much, but at least he's still having fun despite the presence of the paparazzi.
