As a rising star in Hollywood,
High School Musical's Zac Efron has had plenty of recognition. It was announced that he's in line for yet another one, straight from Hawaii. No doubt he'll soon be celebrating with girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens about this.

The Associated Press, the 22-year-old actor will be honored with the Shining Star Award during the Maui Film Festival later this month. The ceremony kicks off on June 16, and Zac Efron will be joining the festivities to accept the prize.
Barry Rivers, the director of the Maui Film Festival, was ecstatic about the whole affair. He also pointed out Zac Efron's contributions to the field, given his stellar career and the future he has ahead of him.
Rivers said that the
High School Musical actor is an "exemplary shining star," and we bet many fans will agree with that. So far, Efron has impressed critics with his performances, whether it's on comedies like
17 Again or dramas like
The Life and Death of Charlie St. Cloud.Another star who's making her way through Hollywood is Ashley Tisdale, who of course stole the show as Sharpay Evans in the
High School Musical series. These days though, she's busy working on the spin-off
Sharpay's Fabulous Adventures and the CW show
Hellcats. But there's one other endeavor she can't let go of: her music.
Disney Dreaming has released snippets of a new song of Ashley Tisdale's, titled "Off the Wall." You can hear it on the clip below.
With all her success, there's no doubt that this
High School Musical alum will be recognized in her own right. For now though, she'll have to content herself with being named one of FHM's Sexiest Women in the World.

official website, she ranks at #31 on the list for this year. Vanessa Hudgens is on there too, ranking a little lower with #42. Not much of an award, like Zac Efron's, but at least they made it. And he certainly won't be making this list anyway.
