Ashley Tisdale: recording artist, movie star, and now … deodorant spokesperson. The actress has recently signed on to be the face of Degree Girl deodorant’s OMG campaign and spoke to Extra TV about why she’s the perfect girl for the job. “This is something you can have when you have those OMG moments. I’ve had those moments,” she admitted. “It’s something that every teenage girl needs. It’s not just happening to you, it happens to everyone.” Sweaty armpits, that is. Tisdale has more to talk about than just perspiration and odor. She talked everybody’s favorite subject these days: High School Musical 3.

“We started recording the music and we leave Monday for the movie so we’re pretty excited,” she told Extra. “The musical numbers are so much bigger, bigger productions. We’ll probably be dancing 6 hours a day. It’s a great workout!”

The film will feature the East High gang’s senior prom and Tisdale told Extra that she had input on her wadrobe. “I do have a lot of say in what her prom dress is going to look like,” she said. “I had my fitting and I was talking to the wardrobe stylist. She showed me some dresses and I got to say what I wanted and what I didn’t want. She has to have the best prom dress. She’s Sharpay!” Tisdale had a lot to draw on for her costume ideas. She attended prom in her sophomore, junior, and senior years!

With High School Musical getting bigger and better than ever, there’s no question that there will be at least one high profile guest star or cameo in the movie. “I would love for Johnny Depp to be in it,” Tisdale gushed. “He did say in an interview that his kids love High School Musical and he wouldn’t mind doing a cameo. We should really jump on that one.”

Yes, Depp did talk High School Musical with Entertainment Tonight back in December. The critically acclaimed actor told the news program that his children were huge fans of the movies. When he was asked if he would ever be a part of High School Musical 3, he did say yes, but it was sarcastic. “I’d play somebody’s grandfather,” he joked.
