'High School Musical 3' Cast Members Dish On New Movie
October 24th, 2008 can't come soon enough for High School Musical fans.  That's the day that the third installment of the wildly successful movie hits the big screen nationwide.  This morning, the cast members, along with director/choreographer Kenny Ortega, gathered together for a press conference.  The press tried to sneak in a question about the Miley Cyrus photo scandal, but Vanessa Hudgens refused to weigh in and kept them focused on the subject at hand: their upcoming movie.  The poster for HSM3 was revealed and the cast members chatted away about how excited they were to get to work on their last film together.

The cast wouldn’t give away too many plot details in High School Musical 3. The poster features the Wildcats in their caps and gowns, celebrating their graduation. The movie will undoubtedly focus on their journey there and the choices they make for their futures. “I don’t want to give it away but this is the last chapter of the Wildcats. Our characters are growing, we’re making tougher decisions as people, and you definitely see relationships blossom,” Hudgens hinted. “I’m not going to give it away but it’s really good.”

When asked what she was most looking forward to about returning, Ashley Tisdale couldn’t pick just one thing. “I’m excited about the whole thing,” Tisdale told the press. “Being back with everybody, seeing the crew, being back with the cast and jumping back into Sharpay’s shoes, definitely. She’s a great character.”

High School Musical 3 will film in Utah, the same state that the first two movies were filmed in. The cast members expressed how much they like being there and how much it feels like a second home. Monique Coleman summed up their feelings about Utah the best, saying, “I think the thing I like the most is that everyone here is really down to earth and warm and welcoming and passionate about a project being filmed here.”

Looking at the enormous success of the first two movies, it’s hard to believe that the cast doesn’t feel any pressure to top what they’ve already done. Zac Efron, however, says he’s not even thinking about that. “It’s hard to look at it with pressure because we’ve been looking forward to this for so long,” he said. “I know I couldn’t wait to get back here and start this movie. Also, I kind of think of it as the third act to High School Musical. This is the third movie. We’re not looking to top anything, just to do it justice.”
