Heroes: Kill the Cheerleader?
Although that's not likely to happen, many Heroes fans have strongly reacted to the rumors surrounding Hayden Panettiere's bitter breakup with costar Milo Ventimiglia. Reports of the 19-year-old actress playing it dirty by trying to get her 31-year-old ex-boyfriend kicked off the show has seemingly divided Heroes supporters, with more fans rooting for the latter cast member.  And while most fans are giving Panettiere the benefit of a doubt, they have been quick to admit that, if the rumors are true, they would rather keep Peter and let Claire go.

But as I've mentioned before, that's not likely to happen. Claire may have run her course as a cheerleader and she may be the weakest character in the show but I doubt that she'll be written off anytime soon.  No matter how dispensable she may seem, Claire remains to be a central part of Heroes as the character that can't die.  And judging from her new-found mission this season, she appears to be playing a larger role as the last hope for the fugitives.

Maybe killing Claire won't exactly save the show but, be that as it may, Heroes still needs a lot of fixing.  And that includes killing people – permanently!  Bryan Fuller's return, which, according to many, will redeem the NBC series from its troubled state, will hopefully improve things a bit.  But until then, here's hoping that Sylar gets his groove back and starts killing again beginning with these people:

Mohinder

Mohinder (Sendhil Ramamurthy) has certainly outlived his usefulness. As a genetics professor who attempted to find truth behind the sudden death of his father and continue his father's research finding people with abilities, he used to be an integral part of the series.  But his presence on the show has become pretty much frustrating and pointless, especially after injecting himself with a gene-altering formula and acquiring enhanced strength. It also wouldn't be the worse thing in the world if his voice over narrations would be taken out.

Angela

Angela (Cristine Rose) doesn't really bother me but she's the type of character the show could do without.  An entire episode could pass and you won't even know she's missing.  Yes, she's the mother of Nathan and Peter, and she has some sort of ability involving dreams. But other than her shady agendas, there's nothing really in store for her that would help improve the show.

Tracy Strauss

Although Claire has the power of rapid cellular regeneration, Ali Larter's character on Heroes just won't die.  Like most Heroes, she should have never returned after Niki Sanders was killed off at the end of season 2 since her story pretty much wrapped up already.  Still, the writers brought her back in the form of Tracy Strauss, who doesn't really have a lot to offer this season since she's just locked up in some building.  I really see little importance to the "cloned sisters" and I just hope that Tracy's is one of the three deaths that are set to happen in the current volume of Heroes.

Maybe it's not a good sign for Heroes that a lot of fans hope that majority of its cast would die.  But the reality is the show can't sustain a good storyline any longer with all the main characters intact.
