As previously reported by BuddyTV,
Heroes co-stars
Hayden Panettiere and
Milo Ventimiglia have called it quits after dating for a little over a year. Sources, at the time, said that “they are still on friendly terms” and that the split was mutual so there's no need to worry about the tension on the set of the NBC series. A month later, however, the amicable split has turned into a bitter breakup with Panettiere reportedly playing it dirty.
According to
OK! Magazine, Panettiere is trying to get Ventimiglia kicked off
Heroes as she is still upset about their split and wants nothing more to do with her ex-boyfriend.
“She refuses to be on the set at the same time as him,” a mutual friend of the former couple told
OK! Magazine. “She is making it difficult for everyone involved.”
To refresh your memory, Panettiere, the 19-year-old actress who plays Claire Bennet in the series, started dating Ventimiglia, the 31-year-old actor who plays Peter Petrelli, in December 2007 though the couple initially denied the status of their relationship. It was eventually revealed that the relationship ended early February after Panettiere was spotted with 21-year-old Jesse McCartney at a bar where they were reportedly all over one another.
“It was a lifestyle conflict. They were in very different places. [Hayden] likes to go out in the Hollywood scene and that's not his style,” a source close to the couple told Us Magazine in February. "They were in very different places."
Meanwhile, Panettiere's rep has denied the report. As for Ventimiglia, he appears to be more mature about the breakup.
“He's not going to play any games or stoop to her level,” the friend said.
Since the split, Panettiere has been linked to several men including rocker Anthony Kiedis, 46, her ex-boyfriend Stephen Colletti, 23, and Gerard Butler, 39.
