Daily Mail reported that the 17-year-old singer blew audiences away with her "Can't Be Tamed" performance on the show Britain's Got Talent. It wasn't just the music; it was because she practically imitated the legendary liplock between Britney Spears and Madonna in the past.
Miley Cyrus apparently took hold of a female dancer and supposedly "thrust her lips towards each other." Critics and fans have looked down upon the act, especially since it was done on such a family-oriented show. But the
Hannah Montana star defended herself and wrote on her
blog:
"I just want to put an end to this right now and just say one thing to everyone out there making this performance such a big deal. GET OVER IT! NOTHING HAPPENED. THERE ARE WAYYYYYYY MORE IMPORTANT THINGS IN THE WORLD. Lets start focusing a little less on making up ignorant rumors and focus a little more on world peace!" (sic)
Aside from that, Miley Cyrus has managed to turn heads with her outfit during the performance too.
Us Magazine pointed out that her wardrobe raised eyebrows as well. She was decked in "sky-high black boots, a lacy basque and ripped fishnet tights."
While we're used to seeing this
Hannah Montana star break out of her wholesome reputation, there are still those who can't accept such a change in her. Critics have been saying that her suddenly raunchy personality is bad for her tween audience.
