In case you haven’t heard, JAKKS Pacific, Inc. and Disney Consumer Products have developed a new line of
Hannah Montana dolls and role-play items that have already been launched at the 2007 American International Toy Fair, a trade show annually held around the world. Apart from
Hannah Montana, the two companies have also developed promotional items for
The Cheetah Girls.
"
Hannah Montana and
The Cheetah Girls are the mainstream pop stars for today's tweens, yet with the 'mom-approved' Disney touch," said Geoffrey Greenberg, President of CDI, a division of JAKKS Pacific. "They capture the imagination of their fans and have become talented role models for the tween generation. By offering such a diverse and multi-category product line for both of these exceptional brands, we're reinforcing the connection that young girls have with these pop stars."
Hannah Montana, a show that airs on the Disney Channel, follows the teenage life of Miley Stewart (
Miley Cyrus), as she lives a double life as an average teen at school during the day and as a popular singer, "Hannah Montana" by night.
The said
Hannah Montana dolls, which will be released nationwide this summer, will have variations to choose from. One doll will be available in
Hannah Montana’s performance outfit, while the other will be in her party clothes. There will also be a deluxe Hannah Montana doll that can perform with real lights and sounds. In addition, there will be available extra outfits for the dolls.
Regular
Hannah Montana dolls will roughly cost $15, while the deluxe doll will cost about $20. Other Hannah Montana promotional items like home decors, consumer electronics, video games, and apparel will also be released later this year.
