John Edmund Driscoll, who was born on June 27, 1981 in Woodbridge, Virginia, was raised in a military family that valued athletics. While majoring in theatre at George Mason University, he pursued modeling and acting in commercials and musical theatre. His first acting stint was a recurring role on Young Americans and later moved on to appear on Dawson's Creek and One Tree Hill. Aside from acting, Driscoll also enjoys singing, dancing, sports and outdoor activities.

Henry Cooper "Coop" Bradshaw is played by John Driscoll on Guiding Light. Coop is the son of Jenna Bradshaw and Buzz Cooper. When Jenna was pregnant, she mistook the fact that Buzz was in love with his former wife, thus creating conflict between the couple. She left Buzz, hiding her pregnancy from him and later gave birth to Coop. Two years after Coop was born, Jenna returned to Springfield and told Buzz the truth about Coop and eventually, the couple got married. Shortly after the marriage, Jenna died in a car crash, leaving Buzz to raise his two sons, Coop and Rocky, all alone.
