It’s been a whirlwind of controversy for  Grey’s Anatomy’s Isaiah Washington. Starting off with his gay slur…and now another issue engulfs the controversial actor. Washington, who plays Dr. Preston Xavier Burke on the award-winning series Grey’s Anatomy, told EW that he’s still uncertain about his future on the show next season.

According to his newly hired publicist and crisis manager Howard Bragman, Washington is not going anywhere despite his doubt on whether he’ll return for season 4 of Grey’s Anatomy. The hit drama series is set to film its season finale towards the end of April, and ABC will announce its fall schedule on May 15.

Another issue surrounding Washington is his salary renegotiations with the series. The most recent issue of salary splat involved fellow cast member Katherine Heigl, who plays Isobel “Izzie” Stevens on the show. Recently, Heigl aspired to elevate her status on the show, ultimately seeking for a higher salary that would put her on the same level with the series’ other female stars such as Sandra Oh and Ellen Pompeo. Heigl’s move, although the salary dispute is still at a deadlock, has prompted negative rumors about the actress and the conflicts it brought to the cast. Furthermore, she is saddened by her exposed salary dispute with the bosses. "I am embarrassed that this has become a public matter and disappointed that Touchstone felt it necessary to divulge private employment information," Heigl said.

With this scenario, Bragman assured that issues such as salary discussions would be carefully dealt with especially in the case of Washington. “We are going to do our business in private, not in the press,'' adding, ''I'm looking at the bigger picture. I will not let [the f-word incident] define him. He will not let it define him,'' Bragman said despite Washington’s name being reportedly absent during the recent salary renegotiations.
