Do you see the resemblance? No? What, he looks more like Meredith Grey?
Entertainment Weekly reports that Jake McLaughlin (Crash, In the Valley of Elah) was recently cast to play Karev's (Justin Chambers) sort of estranged younger brother Aaron who comes to Seattle Grace as a patient in Grey's Anatomy's 19th episode, set to air around April.
As we know that Karev is pretty secretive about most things, the mini reunion will mark the first time that
Grey's Anatomy viewers will have a glimpse into the seemingly troubled family life of Alex.
We know, thanks to the whole Ava/Rebecca storyline, that his mom also couldn't take care of herself, and that Alex's dad used to beat him when he was younger. Surely, his brother is part of this picture.
As for the guy who will play his brother, 27-year-old McLaughlin's credits include
The Philanthropist,
Cold Case,
Heroes,
Leverage,
CSI: Miami and
The Unit, in addition to the films
The Day the Earth Stood Still and
Cloverfield.
