Taylor Momsen was born on July 26, 1993 in St. Louis, Missouri and started acting professionally when she was just three years old on a commercial for Shake N' Bake. Later, she got the role in The Prophet's Game and in 2000, she played the role of Cindy Lou Who in How the Grinch Stole Christmas. 2002 saw her making two more movies, Hansel & Gretel where she played Gretel, and Spy Kids 2: Island of Lost Dreams, where she played Alexandra, the President's daughter. Momsen took time off from the acting scene for a few years and returned to the big screen in Doubting Thomas, Saving Shiloh and Underdog.
Jenny Humphrey is played by Taylor Momsen on the television series Gossip Girl. Like her overprotective brother Dan, Jenny is an artist. She aspires to be as prominent as the most popular girl in Constance Billard, Serena, and has tried in vain to make an image for herself. At fourteen years old, she is free-spirited and ambitious, thus being drawn to the elite group led by her role model, Serena.
