More news from the Gossip Girl front, each with a video to match! Hilary is dishing on Dan, Leighton is singing with Cobra Starship again, and Sonic Youth will be gracing the TV-screen stage in Episode 5!

Enjoy this Friday Gossip Girl treat-trio on me! (You're welcome.)

1. Leighton Meester will be continuing her musical love affair with Cobra Starship at this year's MTV Video Music Awards, where she'll be a presenter on Sunday, September 13. Meester filmed a West Side Story-esque video with Starship promoting the award show:

2. Hilary Duff talked to Access Hollywood about her character, Olivia, and gave a lot away about her budding romance with Dan Humphrey:

"

3. Sonic Youth will soon be guest-playing Gossip Girl. From EW:

"Sonic Youth is one of my favorite bands," says GG showrunner Stephanie Savage, "and last year when I was doing my regular Gossip Girl google search, it came up in some blog about a Sonic Youth show that Thurston [Moore] was playing 'Psychic Hearts' and Gossip Girl was playing on a screen in the background. And I was like, 'Whaaaat? Oh my God. I hope they're not making fun of us! I hope it was a cool, edgy homage!' And it turned out that it was -- tongue in cheek for sure, but definitely with love, and that they were fans of the show." (Perhaps worth mentioning: Moore and his bandmate and wife, Kim Gordon, have a 15-year-old daughter.)"

Sounds like the band (probably one of Rufus's favorites) will be involved in a pivotal moment for the washed-up musician and his fiancee, Lily:

"We have a very special event coming in Episode 5 that we're filming right now," Savage says, "and they seemed the ideal musical guest for it." But in fine GG fashion, Savage is mum about the exact circumstances of the festivities involved. "It's a big event that involves [engaged adults] Rufus and Lily. Just draw your own conclusions," she laughs.

Do you hear wedding bells that early on in Season 3? Or could they be playing whatever event at which Rufus and Lily are dolled up and reuniting with Scott?

This won't be the first time Sonic's Moore will have collaborated with Gossip Girl. Last year, Moore and Be Your Own Pet's Jemina Pearl cut a cover of the Ramones' "Sheena is a Punk Rocker" for Jenny Humphrey's guerrilla fashion show. Relive the mayhem, and their badass cover:
