Like every other 16-year-old on the planet, Taylor Momsen thinks she has everything figured out.

But with a spot on the hit TV show Gossip Girl and a burgeoning gig as the lead singer of a new femme punk band The Pretty Reckless, can you really blame her? Maybe this 16-year-old actually does know a thing or two.

Even though she's not yet the age of their proclaimed target audience, Momsen spoke with Seventeen magazine about what it's like to be her: an angsty teenage workaholic. Check it out:

"I think people don't really take me seriously because I'm 16. And they think most 16-year-olds don't know what they want to do. But I actually really do, because I've been thinking about it since I was [two-years-old]."

Momsen is like other teenagers in one aspect, though. "I am angsty. I'll be angsty until I'm 80 years old. I think that keeps things fresh. But I always think angst is such a derogatory word toward teenagers. It just means you're figuring s*** out, and I don't know why that's a negative thing."

As the lead singer of her band The Pretty Wreckless, Taylor admits, "I love working. I'm a workaholic, and no one believes it. I'm in the recording studio until three in the morning."

Is Taylor taking herself too seriously, or can you relate to her frustration of being young and success-driven?
