- The CW has also released the official "The Freshman" (Episode 2) synopsis:

Blair (Leighton Meester) is determined to maintain her Queen B status in college as she embarks on her first day at New York University, along with Dan (Penn Badgley) and Vanessa (Jessica Szohr). Unfortunately, Georgina (Michelle Trachtenberg) turns up as Blair's roommate, and is determined to make Blair a social outcast. Causing trouble as always! As Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) prepares to go to Brown, she and Chuck (Ed Westwick) have a big-time falling out, so she recruits Chuck's nemesis, Carter Baizen (guest star Sebastian Stan), to help her get even. Meanwhile, Nate (Chace Crawford) and Bree (guest star JoAnna Garcia) decide to explore their relationship further, knowing full well it could cause tension between their well-to-do families who are longtime political rivals. Taylor Momsen and Matthew Settle also star.
