Last time on Glee
, Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison) was ready to give up the world of teaching in order to make money for his pregnant wife Terri (Jessalyn Gilsig) and their future family. After a long, heartfelt and adorable talk with germaphobic guidance counselor Emma Pillsbury (Jayma Mays), Will decided he couldn't give up the teaching job that he loves. So, he's back at William McKinley High School feeling good and looking good. Am I right? His mind is on one thing: Glee Club. Rachel Berry (Lea Michele), Finn Hudson (Cory Monteith) Mercedes Jones (Amber Riley), Tina Cohen-Chang (Jenna Ushkowitz), and Artie Abrams (Kevin McHale) are all on the same page. Kurt Hummel is a little bit distracted from Glee Club by the football bullies that continue to haunt him.
"One day, you will all work for me."
Unfortunately, his glee doesn't last for long as Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) is right there to burst his bubble. Her vendetta against Glee Club is strong as ever. She informs Will that he needs twelve kids to qualify for regionals, which they must place in or else Principle Figgins (Iqbal Theba) will cut their funding and last time she checked, he "only had five and a half." She offers to let him be her assistant to wash her "soiled delicates" but he politely declines.
Finn is getting just as much pressure from Quinn Fabray (Dianna Agron), head of the Cheerios and leader of the Celibacy Club. She's convinced their social stock will plummet if Finn, the quarterback and captain of the football team, stays in Glee Club. Even though she says she'll let him touch her breasts if he quits, Finn stands his ground and politely declines her offer and leaves. Quinn catches Rachel spying on their conversation and warns her to stay away.
Rachel's confidence is short-lived once Mr. Schuester tells them that their next song will be "Le Freak" and that they will be performing it at the pep assembly in order to recruit new members. They ask for modern music but he refuses to change it for the assembly.
As if he didn't have enough to worry about, Terri wants Will to buy them a new house for their "daughter or gay son." Her crazy controlling sister Kendra convinced Terri that they should buy a unit in her family's sub division. Will goes along with it as long as Terri can pick between a Grand Foyer and a Sun Nook, which she calls "my very own Sophie's Choice."
"This banister was made by Ecuadorian children."
Will brings in Kanye West's "Gold Digger" for the club to learn but tells them it won't be ready for the assembly. When he tries to give the solo to Finn, Finn refuses so Mr. Schuester shows him how it's done.
Emma finds Rachel in the bathroom trying to throw up.
Rachel: "I tried but I guess I just don't have a gag reflex."
Emma: "One day, when you're older, that'll turn out to be a gift."
She brings her into the counseling office and gives her a pamphlet called "So you like throwing up." Rachel explains that she doesn't actually have bulimia, she just wished she was skinnier and prettier like Quinn. Emma suggests that Rachel finds a common interest to bond over with Finn.
In an attempt to help Finn feel better about performing at the pep assembly in front of his "chromosomally-challenged friends," Rachel decides that they should make fliers to advertise Glee club instead of perform.Unfortunately, they used the Cheerio copy machine to copy the fliers and Sue Sylvester catches them in the act. Sue takes the matter to Principle Figgins and tries to have Rachel and Finn hobbled but Will reasons that they can just pay for the copies instead. But, he then informs them that they will be doing Disco at the assembly no matter what.
Since the fliers didn't work, Rachel decides to join Celibacy Club to get closer to Finn. For the first half hour, the boys and girls separate. The boys talk about how to last longer and the girls repeat their motto "It's all about the teasing and not about the pleasing." Finn tells the guys that he doesn't have any problems "arriving too early," which is a lie. He has to think about the time he hit the mailman to stay focused.
"You killer! What are you going to do?!?"
When the boys and girls come together, Rachel finally speaks up and tells everyone that the Celibacy Club is a joke. She tells them all that girls want sex just as much as guys do.Page (1) (2) Next>>>
