The Glee season 4 premiere is almost here, as are a bunch of new characters and a catchy rendition of the hit of the summer, Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe."

Glee is available on Amazon Prime.

In this new promo you can hear a bit of the song as performed by Brittany, Tina, Blaine and Unique (the four kids battling to be the new star of New Directions). If Brittany singing doesn't make you smile, you may be dead inside.

The video also introduces two key new characters. First is Brody, a junior at NYADA who Rachel bumps into in the bathroom. He's wearing nothing but a towel, of course. And he lets us know that he's straight. That might sound weird, but he is a musical theater major at NYADA.

Next is Kitty, Sue's new head Cheerio. "She's like a young Quinn Fabray," Sue says, "Except she's not pregnant, manic depressive or in and out of a wheelchair." Now that's a classic burn from Sue Sylvester, with its balance of mockery aimed at both another character and the show's writers themselves, pointing out how absurdly ridiculous they made Quinn over the past three seasons. Of course once you hear Kitty start to talk, you might think she's more like Santana.

Glee season 4 premieres Thursday, September 13 at 9pm on FOX.
