FOX Renews 'Glee,' 'New Girl' and 'Raising Hope'
Monday, April 9, 2012
FOX will be keeping its Tuesday night lineup for another year. Today the network officially renewed Glee, New Girl and Raising Hope
for next season. The trio of shows follows the network's earlier
decisions to pick up most of its Sunday animation block and the hit
Glee will return for season 4 this fall, meaning fans will get to see what Ryan Murphy and company have in store for the graduating seniors. The renewal is no surprise, especially since Oxygen is already filming season 2 of The Glee Project, where the winner will receive a recurring role next season.
New Girl was one of the first show's of the season to get a full 22-episode order, so it's no surprise that FOX would pick it up for season 2. Zooey Deschanel will be quirky for another year, which hopefully means more Saturday Night Live sketches about her.
Raising Hope will be back for season 3, which is great news for fans of the show which doesn't get huge ratings, but always delivers huge laughs. The high-brow comedy about low-brow characters begins its two-part season finale this Tuesday at 9:30pm.
All three shows will air this Tuesday as the failed experiment of a two-hour block of sitcoms comes to an end. Breaking In will return starting April 24 while I Hate My Teenage Daughter will return Sundays in the summer. Both shows are unlikely to be renewed.
Catch all new episodes of Glee, New Girl and Raising Hope Tuesdays starting at 8pm on FOX.
