Angela Kay Everhart is an American actress and former fashion model born on September 7, 1969 in Akron, Ohio. The daughter of an engineer and a homemaker, she started out on her modeling career when she was 15 years old. She was the fifth of six children, with four older brothers and one younger sister. She studied at Firestone High School in her hometown, where she was also a school mascot and cheerleader. After submitting images from a photo session with her mother to a modeling agency, she was hired and soon assigned to fly to Paris for more work as a fashion model.
Everhart has appeared on the covers of fashion magazines such as ELLE and Glamour, and was the first-ever red-haired cover girl for the latter. After suffering from a riding accident when she was 19 years old, she recovered via physical therapy and got back to work. She had been told in the past that she would not find much success as a model simply because she was a redhead, yet nevertheless she persisted and continued posing for various publications. Everhart has appeared in several issues of the yearly Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition since 1995, posed nude for Playboy, and was included in the FHM list of 100 Sexiest Women in 2003.
