We recently reported on how much the Hollywood couple George Clooney and Sarah Larson liked cuddling up on a warm sofa and tuning into the crazy reality show,
Rock of Love. Along with the end of the second season of the dating game, it seems that 47-year-old actor and 29-year-old former Las Vegas cocktail waitress decided to call it quits. An insider reportedly said that Larson had moved out of Clooney's home in Los Angeles shortly after the break-up.
"George is relieved to be single again," an insider told
In Touch Weekly. "He thinks Sarah is sweet and that is why it was so hard to break up with her."
Moreover, the insider reports that Clooney, who has been dating Larson for almost a year now, doesn't want to be attached to anyone at the moment.
"The truth is that they had little in common and he just doesn't want to be tied down," the insider explained.
Despite these reports, Clooney's publicist says, "I can only confirm that we have never commented on George's personal life."
Meanwhile, George Clooney is preparing for Thursday's 60th anniversary of U.N. peacekeeping event, for which he did a public service announcement praising the soldiers who have worn the blue peace helmets. Back in January, Clooney was named a U.N. Messenger of Peace by Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. Since then, the actor has been campaigning to end the conflict in Darfur, which has been going on for five years now. Moreover, Clooney flew to visit the peacekeepers in Sudan.
Clooney's message entitled "Peace is Hard," featured a reminder that over 100,000 U.N. peacekeepers were tasked to protect civilians, manage elections and disarm ex-combatants to keep the peace in the most dangerous and politically unstable parts of Congo, Liberia, Haiti and Lebanon.
"We owe all of the United Nations peacekeepers a debt of gratitude for the dangerous work they do to ensure that peace is preserved, civilians are protected and elections are respected," Clooney said in the announcement.
May 29th was designated by the U.N. General Assembly as the International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers since 2002, and has commemorated this day to honor the memory of the hundreds of men who have given their lives in the mission for the United Nations.
