Rhys Coiro, a recurring actor on Entourage, has an upcoming movie entitled Mama’s Boy.  Directed by Tim Hamilton, the comedy is scheduled to hit the theaters on November 21.

On television, Rhys Coiro plays Billy Wash on HBO’s Entourage.  He recurrently appears as a pretentious independent film director with an intimidating personality.  Previously, he directed Vince in Queens Boulevard and Medellin. According to interviews on the season two DVD, Billy was partially based on Entourage writer Rob Weiss.

Before his work on Entourage, Rhys Coiro appeared on television shows like Six Feet Under, Ugly Betty and Criminal Minds.  Although he doesn’t have many film credentials, he was able to star as the lead character Ace in the drama movie Look.

In Mama’s Boy, the Entourage actor plays the role of Trip, joining Diane Keaton (Something's Gotta Give, Annie Hall) as Jan Mannus, Jeff Daniels (Dumb and Dumber, The Squid and the Whale) as Mert Rosenbloom, and Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite, Blades of Glory) as Jeffrey Mannus.

Written by Hank Nelken, the movie is about an eccentric slacker named Jeffrey Mannus. At age 29, he still lives at home with his mom, Jan.  His life changes when he meets a motivational speaker named Mert who successfully courts Jan.  But when Mert decides to move in with Jan, Jeffrey gets furious and devices a scheme with an ally named Nora to put an end to Jan and Mert’s affair.  As the war between Mert and Jeffrey rises, something surprising happens that eventually leads to Jeffrey’s discovery of his maturity.

Mama’s Boy originated as a Warner Brothers project but has moved over to Warner Independent Pictures. Warner Brothers’ Polly Cohen and Geoff Shaevitz, as well as Warner Independent Pictures’ Mark Gill ‘and Paul Fedderbush supervised the production of the movie.
