Three of FOX's four new comedies for the 2013-2014 TV season have come to an end. On Wednesday they network officially canceled Enlisted, Surviving Jack and Dads. The network also canceled the dramedy Rake.

Enlisted, starring Geoff Stults, Chris Lowell and Parker Young, received a lot of critical praise, but was doomed on a Friday night time slot and was pulled from the air after nine episodes. It's unknown if the remaining unaired episodes will see the light of day.

Surviving Jack, starring Christopher Meloni, got a plum spot after American Idol results shows, but the late-start and low ratings prevented it from getting a second season.

Dads was panned by nearly all critics and its cancellation is no surprise. The most shocking part is that it took this long for FOX to end it.

The only FOX comedy to survive this season was Brooklyn Nine-Nine, which already received a renewal for a second season.

On the drama side, the Greg Kinnear series Rake has also been canceled. It scored low ratings on Thursdays and was quickly moved to Fridays and then Saturdays, all signs that its cancellation was inevitable.

FOX Orders Gotham Series>>

They join sci-fi drama Almost Human as FOX's casualties for the season, meaning five of the seven new scripted shows were axed. The lone survivors were Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Sleepy Hollow. However, the network already has a number of new dramas picked up for next season, including the Batman prequel Gotham.
