
Rock band Good Charlotte's front man and Nicole Richie's boyfriend Joel Madden will make a “surprise” appearance on the ABC series
Dirty Sexy Money in an episode that will air later this year. The singer will appear as himself during an art exhibit that will be attended by the Darling family.
Dirty Sexy Money will premiere its sophomore season on October 1 with an episode called “The Fantini Brothers.” Its maiden season, which aired for 10 episodes, will come out in a three-disc DVD including all 10 original episodes and exclusive bonus features including a bloopers, audio commentary, deleted scenes, and featurettes, on September 16.
Dirty Sexy Money revolves around Nick George, played by
Peter Krause, whose whole life has been lived in the shadow of the Darling family. As he grew up and became an idealistic lawyer, his father's death was surrounded with suspicious circumstances. The wealthy Darlings, then asked him to take over his father's job as their personal lawyer, but morals come into question as the money that will allow him do altruistic things simultaneously drags him to the shady business of the Darling clan.
Madden and the rest of the band made a cameo at the 2001 movie
Not Another Teen Movie. He alone, meanwhile, also made a cameo on two more films,
Fat Albert in 2004 and
Material Girls in 2006. Madden came into public view in the latter parts of 2006 when rumors circulated that he was dating socialite Nicole Richie, which the couple later confirmed. In July, 2007, the two likewise confirmed that Richie is pregnant with Madden's child. Baby Marlow Winter Kate Madden came to the world on January 11, 2008 in Los Angeles. The two are still together, despite rumors that Madden is frequently seen in various night clubs with the likes of Lindsay Lohan and Mary Kate Olsen.
