Well, yes and no.

Don't forget to catch: Will Angie Bolen Be Missed on 'Desperate Housewives'?

While Desperate Housewives mainstay Dana Delaney is being tapped to headline ABC's new procedural pilot, she doesn't want to speak too soon about whether or not she's packing her things to leave Wisteria Lane.

"You never know with pilots," Delany tells Entertainment Weekly. "Many of them never get off the ground, so all this talk could be rendered pointless. But I am realistically hopeful. I love the character, so I hope it all works out."

Delaney, whose Katherine is in a very interesting storyline with Dexter departee Julie Benz's Robin, admits that she might say goodbye to Desperate Housewives if and when ABC greenlights Body of Evidence. She's in talks to play a female medical examiner whose background in neurosurgery gives her a unique angle in solving crimes.

While Delane appears very much interested in pursuing the role, she does, however, expressed interest in reprising her role every once and a while on Desperate Housewives.

"Marc Cherry promised he would not kill me off and told me I was always welcome to come back to the Lane," she says. "I would love for Katherine to pop into town and say hi to the gang every once in awhile."

As for the future of her current storyline with Robin, Delaney says she loves it.

"This might actually be her thing," she says. "It may make her happier than she has ever been. She does not have the best track record with men to begin with."
