Desperate Housewives: Season 3, Episode 13 Recap
Starting today, we will have a Desperate Housewives recap on every Monday that follows a new episode. So, Orson's ex-wife, Alma, orchestrated a way to get him into her bedroom with the help of his mother (I'm having a hard time accepting Dixie Carter as the spiteful mother when she played such a nice character back in the day on "Different Strokes"). They tricked him into coming over thinking that Alma had tried to kill herself. Then they drugged him with sleeping pills and Viagra so that Alma could "have her way with him" in an attempt to have his child. Silly woman.
What I can't figure out is how Orson's story line will relate to him running Mike down with his car at the end of last season. What the heck was that about? And now Susan's boyfriend's wife (who had been in a coma) has died. Interestingly, Susan got this new boyfriend after Mike spent six months in a coma after being run down by Orson. He woke up with amnesia and didn't remember her. Then he was arrested and Susan got her new beau, Ian, to foot the attorney bill. Mike was released on bail, but with the help of newly-rich, estranged son, Zach. Zach is meanwhile busy trying to woo Gabby into being his girlfriend. She feels sorry for him because he doesn't have any real (non-purchased) friends. Lastly, Lynette quits her job after taking a "sick day" in order to help Tom during a promotional day for the new family restaurant. What I don't get is how his daughter is now evil. She used to be such a sweet little girl who seemed to understand that her mother was crazy. Every time she came to pick her up from visiting the Scavo's, she looked sad, like she wanted to live with them. Now that she does, she's got it out for Lynette. She was the one who tattled to the boss. So Lynette works at the restaurant, Gabby is Zach's friend, Mike is out of jail, and Alma might be pregnant but is out cold after Bree punched her in the face. Just another evening on Wysteria Lane for the Desperate Housewives. I'm even having a good time just noting the creative ways they place Marcia Cross to hide her pregnant belly! -BuddyTV Staff Columnist
