Mark Moses as Paul Young

Paul Young, on the television series Desperate Housewives, is played by Mark Moses.
Years before his family moved to Wisteria Lane, Paul and his wife, Mary Alice, were living a peaceful life in Utah. Back then, they were known by their real names, Todd and Angela Forrest. They were forced to move out of Utah when Mary Alice, who was infertile, illegally bought a heroin addict’s baby son.

They ended up in Wisteria Lane, where they immediately introduced themselves as the Youngs. Paul started working as an investor/ stockbroker, while Mary Alice stayed at home with their adopted son, Zach (whose real name was Dana Taylor). Three years later, the heroin addict, Deirdre, showed up clean and sober at the Youngs’ home in Wisteria Lane and ordered them to give back her son. Mary Alice ended up killing Deirdre, and she and Paul chopped up the body and stuffed it into Zach’s toy chest.

After the incident, Paul and his small family went on living as though nothing had happened until the day Mary Alice received a threatening note. Afterwards, Mary Alice killed herself, and when Paul saw the note, he worked hard to find out who penned it. He eventually found out that it was Martha Huber, and after she failed to show remorse for the unfortunate result of her note, Paul killed her. Martha’s sister, Felicia, intent on exacting revenge on Paul, helped Mike Delfino (Deirdre’s ex-boyfriend) to realize that Paul and Mary Alice had been responsible for Deirdre’s death. Mike abducted Paul, but could not bring himself to kill Paul when he realized that he (Mike) was Zach’s real father.

Furious that Paul survived and resumed his life in Wisteria Lane, Felicia proceeded to destroy Paul’s reputation in the neighborhood. After failing to do significant damage, she orchestrated her own death and made it seem like Paul had murdered her. Paul was subsequently arrested and imprisoned, and Zach, who had inherited his biological grandfather’s wealth, refused to help him.
