To many viewers,
Deal or No Deal's 26 models are known as the beauties that hold the game show's briefcases, handpicked for their slender figures and attractive looks. But among the girls,
Brooke Long and
Leyla Milani have decided to conceal their body with a fat suit and take on the streets of New York to play along with
Entertainment Tonight's investigation.
Both
Deal or No Deal models took out their typical provocative outfits in exchange of padded suits and latex makeup. Each were rigged with hidden cameras as they packed on over 300 pounds to see how it feels to live like 66 percent of America, overweight and often mocked by strangers.
"Physically and emotionally, this was just so hard on me," Brooke told
ET. "I mean, I've never experienced this kind of treatment. I've never been treated this kind of way."
The models got a taste of reality.
ET's fat suit investigation found the pair walking the streets of Manhattan and even shopping for food. Both girls endured many scornful stares, and Brooke was so affected that she couldn't wait to “return to her regular physical self.”
"I just I don't want to be in this anymore," Brooke said as she was fighting back tears. "I want to go back to being me. I don't want to be this person. This isn't me and I just I don't like it."
"It really affected us. I knew we were going to get looks, but I mean, the comments and the stares and just the way people avoided us,” added Leyla who shared the same sentiments with Brooke.
Aside from
Deal or No Deal, Brooke is known as the host of
Smashbrain TV and a co-host for
Get Out, while Leyla is credited for the film
The Boys & Girls Guide to Getting Down, El Mascarado Massacre and the television series T
he ½ Hour News Hour.
