Kim Dickens was born on June 18, 1965 in Huntsville, Alabama. She studied at Vanderbilt University in Nashville where she earned a degree in communications. She also studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute and graduated at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. As an actress, she started performing in the production of Sexual Perversity in Chicago. This was followed by indie movies like Truth or Consequences, N.M., Zero Effect, Great Expectations and Palookaville. Ultimately, he became part of the television series Deadwood as Joanie Stubbs. Joanie Stubbs is a former hostess at the Bella Union. She has an ambiguous sexuality and appears to be more independent than Trixie. Previously, she was forced to kill a young woman who had been trying to rob the Bella Union.
