Days of our Lives: June 6 Live Thoughts
Days of our Lives: June 6 Live Thoughts
Today's Days of our Lives begins right where yesterday's left off.  Nicole is on the phone with Lucas (Bryan Dattilo), threatening to tell him about EJ's lie about his annulment to Sami.  EJ (James Scott) grabs the phone away from her and hangs up.

At the pub, Stephanie (Shelley Hennig) asks Nick (Blake Berris) to meet her.  Chelsea (Rachel Melvin) also arrives and apologizes to Nick about the way she broke up with him.  She admits that she was in love with somebody else, but it didn't work out with him.

At the pier, a dockworker tells John (Drake Hogestyn) that all of his shipments have been impounded and are now the property of the U.S. government.  Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso) saunter by and threaten that they're going to build a case against him.

Chelsea tells Nick that she was in love with Daniel, and Nick is all, "Duh!"  She apologizes again, and Nick tells her that he's still in love with her.  She wants to stay friends because she misses hanging out with him.  Nick doesn't want to play second fiddle, and he doesn't want to just be friends.  He just wants to move on.  Ouch!

EJ doesn't trust Nicole and threatens her if she tells his secret.  Nicole wants to blackmail him; she threatens to go to the tabloids about his plan if he isn't super generous with her.  He doesn't take kindly to blackmail and breaks down her vulnerable defense to reveal her insecurity even more.  Hurt, she rushes off, but EJ runs after her.  Later, he apologizes for being mean, which she takes as an invitation to kiss.  He doesn't pull away, though.

At the hospital, Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) and Steve (Stephen Nichols) fret in the waiting room about their little boy.  Maxine, the scrub nurse, has news about Joey for them.  Fortunately, it's good news: Joey's being taken off the ventilator tomorrow.

At the DiMera mansion, Lucas complains to Rolf about Nicole, and Rolf says that Nicole is "one schnitzel short of a picnic blanket."  Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) drops by for a visit because she's worried about Lucas.  He, however, is not thrilled to see her.  Two's company, but three's a party: Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson) shows up as well.

Bo and Hope pay a visit to Victor (John Aniston) to ask him some questions about John.  They tell him that John thinks that he and Philip planted the cocaine on his ships, but Victor plays innocent.  It seems awfully like a conflict of interest to have Bo investigating his biological father.  As soon as they leave, Victor calls Philip (who is still at the DiMera mansion).  Philip barks into the phone that he'll handle the drug investigation, just as John comes home.  John demands to know what he's doing in his house, and unleashes his fury on Lucas for inviting them.  Chloe continues trying to reach out to Lucas.  OMG!  Maybe Chloe and Lucas can get together, leaving Sami available to be with EJ!  Chloe wants to be friends, but Lucas is suspicious of her motives.  He reluctantly says yes as long as she promises not to hurt Philip.

Philip comes back home and overhears Victor upping the security on all his ships.  Victor orders Philip to stay away from John, but Philip says he'll see it through to the end.

The Bradys gather at the pub to celebrate Caroline (Peggy McCay) turning the pub green.  Roman (Josh Taylor) wants to talk to Max about his fight down at the pier, but Max, as ever, doesn't want to talk about it.  Caroline and Max make speeches about the new eco-friendliness of the pub to all the guest.  As Max begins talking about Grandpa Shawn, he breaks down and asks one of his brothers to take over the speech.  Bo obliges, and Max disappears.  Kayla and Steve arrive and share the good news about Joey.  Nick goes to the pier to bring Max back.  Hope notices Chelsea moping around and asks her what's wrong.  Chelsea melodramatically says that she ruined her life.  Outside the pub, Nick runs into Dean Robbins, who invites him to a book signing at the Java Cafe.

At the end of the episode, John pays a dockworker for information.  The dockworker tells him that he saw Paul Hollingsworth hanging out with Philip Kiriakis not too long ago.  Indeed, Philip gets on the phone with Paul and orders him to lay low and keep his mouth shut.  I guess Paul isn't so innocent after all.

Next on Days of our Lives: John has proof of his innocence, Kate seeks out Daniel for medical help, Max tells Dean Robbins that he's a conman and a fraud.
