Last week, BuddyTV reported that Emmy winner Crystal Chappell is joining Days of our Lives to reprise her role as Dr. Carly Manning Alamain beginning October. But even before that happens, Salem will be a little more crowded as three more will join the cast of the NBC soap.

According to Soap Opera Digest, Catherine Wadkins, who was last seen as crazed widow Mary Bishop ---the widow of Connor Bishop who brainwashed Nikolas Cassadine after a car accident and killed Sage Alcazar and Trent Parker in the Quartermaine mansion on General Hospital, will be returning to the daytime circuit to portray yet another crazed widow. This time, she's slated to appear on Days of Our Lives on August 3 and 4, after her character's husband, Carlo, turns up dead. She will reportedly share scenes with Jay Kenneth Johnson's Philip.

Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.

Subsequently, daytime veteran Wally Kurth, who appeared as Sam on As the World Turns and Ned on General Hospital, is set to reprise his popular role as Justin Kiriakis on Days of Our Lives. Playing the character from 1987 to 1991, Kurth joined the soap as the nephew of Victor Kiriakis who had a brief romance with Anjelica Deveraux and has been married to Adrienne Johnson Kiriakis. Justin also has four sons: Alexander Kiriakis II with Angelica, adopted twin sons Joseph "Joey" Kiriakis and Victor Kiriakis II with Adrienne as well as a biological son named Jackson. He's going to return in Salem on August 10.

Last but not the least, David Leisure is set to play the role of the new district attorney on Days of our Lives. Leisure, who was last seen as Roger on The Young and the Restless, will have "a few cases on his plate" according to executive producer Ken Corday.
