Days of our LIves: May 26 Live Thoughts
Days of our LIves: May 26 Live Thoughts
Days of our Lives is back again today.  Sami (Alison Sweeney) and Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) have their same-old fight again.

At the pub, Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) tells Stephanie (Shelley Hennig) about a gunflight down at the docks.  Stephanie is worried sick about Max (Darin Brooks) who is down there, but he shows up at the pub and reassures her that there were no guns.  All that happened was that a shipment of drugs was found in one of the containers.

Nicole saunters into the pub and offers to buy EJ (James Scott) and Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson) a round of drinks because her dog Pookie is on the mend.  But she doesn't have any money, so Nicole asks Philip to buy the drinks.

Lucas asks Sami whether she loves EJ.  She doesn't have an immediate response for him.  Actually, she never answers him.  She just describes how she and EJ were thrown together in the safe house with the kids and how great he was at taking care of Ali when she was sick.  Lucas is clearly unhappy to hear all this.  Sami wants to know whether Lucas is planning to stay in their lives, or whether he's going to take Ali away from her and leave.  Of course, he wants to start over, but it'll be hard for him to erase the memory of seeing her with EJ in bed.  Then, Lucas brings up the first time Sami and EJ had sex.  He claims that she wanted to have sex with him the whole time, so she took his ultimatum and ran with it.  Sami is shocked that Lucas would say such a horrible thing and asks him to leave.  EJ made a statement saying that even though he was Lucas' victim, he holds no grudge.  Lucas is suspicious, thinking that EJ only did this to make himself look good to Sami, to soften her up and seduce her.  Sami confesses that he didn't seduce her; she wanted him.  She tries to explain that EJ has changed, but Lucas makes everything difficult and yells at her.  She says finally that she has feelings for EJ, but they will go away if she and Lucas start over.  Lucas is the love of her life, and she asks for the chance to prove that to him.  He doesn't go for it, though.  He says she's changed too.  He doesn't want to get back together and start over.  He can never forgive her.

Alone, Sami collapses onto her bed in tears.  A moment later, Lucas comes back and apologizes.  He sort of does an "I told you so," which, hello?  Not helping.  He asks one more time if she has feelings for EJ, and she replies that she does.  She's not the type of person who has sex without feelings.  Lucas gets snippy at her, but she explains that she owes it to herself to forgive EJ.  She gets a call from Mickey who confirms that Lucas would never have gotten out of prison if it weren't for EJ's help.

At the DiMera mansion, Marlena (Deidre Hall) asks John (Drake Hogestyn) whether he had anything to do with the drugs at the docks.  John denies that he had anything to do with the drugs, but Roman (Josh Taylor) won't let him since the investigation is still ongoing and John is a prime suspect.  Marlena says that if she finds out that the Kiriakises have planted the drugs in his shipments, she will be unequivocally on his side.  John tries to get past Roman to go to the pier, but Roman tries to stop him.  John judo-chops! Roman in the nose.  Roman tries to arrest John, but John resists arrest.  He freaks out about the cuffs, having flashbacks of his incarceration by Stefano.  Marlena sticks him with a syringe full of sedatives.  John feels betrayed, but Marlena says that she had no choice.  They would have hurt him otherwise.

Max realizes that he would have been working right next to the drug bust, but his boss called to tell them what was going on and not to show up at work.

Nicole gets her drink on as Max and Stephanie walk into the pub.  Max asks to speak to Philip privately, so they take two or three steps away from Chloe.  Max wants to know whether Philip had anything to do with the drugs.  Philip says he had nothing to do with it, but Abe (James Reynolds) comes in and says, "Maybe, maybe not."  Abe wants to question Philip.  Philip plays innocent about any knowledge of the drugs.

Next on Days of our Lives: Bo wants to talk to Daniel, Chelsea calls Ava a bitch, Chloe says good-bye to Philip.
