Caroline Brady is played by
Peggy McCay in Days of Our Lives. Caroline is the wife of Shawn Brady, the love of her life with whom she had three children with. They also took in Frankie and Max, two orphaned children. She was a good and loving mother who wanted to take the fall for her daughter when Kayla was accused of murdering Marina Toscano. However, Kayla still ends up in jail but is later exonerated. Caroline had her own fair share of devastating moments like when she was kidnapped by Tony DiMera, making her family believe she was dead.
Prior to that, Caroline and all the other victims were alive being kept on a mysterious island. She was reunited with her sons, but was again presumed dead after an escape attempt. While being held in captivity, she was with Victor Kiriakis as her only nearby friend. The two were eventually rescued, and Caroline returned to her life in Salem with Shawn, only to find out that Shawn had given his life to save his children.
On Shawn’s funeral, Caroline invited EJ and even praised him for his courage to disown Stefano. Not long after, she had to deal with Bo’s illness, which would turn out to require a very delicate transplant surgery. Although she was assured several times by the staff that Bo will be fine, Caroline was still uncertain. When it was discovered that the match was found on Chelsea, his daughter, Bo was hesitant to go with it. After some prodding from Caroline, Bo finally said yes to the surgery. The surgery would turn out to be a success and it further strengthened the bond between father and daughter.
