So close...

We're only a week away from the semi-finals of Dancing with the Stars season 13 (ah, how the time flies!), which means that one contestant will, tonight, feel the sting of defeat just inches away from success. Will the eliminated contestant be expected? Are viewers going to be surprised in week 8? Keep reading to find out!

There are only five possibilities for elimination, so the show is going to have to fill up its hour with a whole lot of other entertainment. What entertainment? DanceCenter (yay!!!), Andrea Bocelli with Chris Botti, Flo Rida, Cirque du Soleil and more will all perform tonight.

But still, the point of the show is that pesky elimination. Who is the most likely candidate to go home? According to our BuddyTV Readers' Poll, the most likely competitors to leave in week 8 are Nancy Grace and Tristan MacManus -- with 84 percent of BuddyTV voters picking them. A small number of readers also picked Rob and Cheryl, Hope and Maks, and Ricki and Derek.

So we've covered our bases.

Considering the scores from the Dancing with the Stars week 8 performance show, this does not seem an unlikely outcome:

1. J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff: 60 points
2. (tie) Ricki Lake and Derek Hough: 52 points
2. (tie) Hope Solo and Maksim Chmerkovskiy: 52 points
4. Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke: 51 points
5. Nancy Grace and Tristan MacManus: 44 points

Still, there is the age-old question of whether scores or votes matter more. Let's find out!

You know, there is no way I'm ever going to get used to "I'm Brooke Burke-Charvet." It just sounds odd to me.

In other news, the female pros are dancing to "I Am Woman" by Jordin Sparks. Although much better danced, the choreography would not be out-of-place in a strip club.

Seriously? RESULTS already? Way to surprise me, Dancing with the Stars! Granted, these won't be very final results. We've got at least 50 more minutes before those come.

First up to hear their fates, Rob and Cheryl, Hope and Maks, J.R. and Karina.

Or not. We get a DanceCenter clip (Say "third," Tristan!) and commercials instead.

J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff are SAFE!!!

Shocker there.

Hope Solo and Maksim Chmerkovskiy are SAFE!!!

Which means that...

Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke remain in jeopardy.

And now the important part of the show: DANCECENTER!!!

Kenny Mayne on everyone:
Derek Hough: "He's a lot like Mark Ballas, except that he's blond and way less creepy."

J.R. Martinez: "Height, weight and shoe size don't matter. The man is a hero."

Rob Kardashian: "Most people think of Rob Kardashian as the loser brother of the family."

Time for a musical act or two... Which means that Andrea Bocelli and Chris Botti are performing for the Troupe's dancing.

More DanceCenter!!!

On Tristan: "He's a leprechaun."

On Hope: "She's kind of like the girl next door who can beat your ever-loving ass."

As far as razzing Maks is concerned, a picture is worth 1000 words:

That hilarity over, they're doing the Cirque du Soleil/Michael Jackson thing. It involves far better dancing than we usually see on (or above) the DWTS stage.

Sorry. Crazed fan moment over. Until next week...

Meanwhile, it's time for Flo Rida to perform something I don't really know, because I am not hip enough.

That musical silliness out of the way, it's time for a few more RESULTS. Nancy and Tristan, Ricki and Derek remain to hear their fates.

Ricki Lake and Derek Hough are SAFE!!!

Which means that Nancy Grace and Tristan MacManus will (briefly) remain in jeopardy.

OK, we're finally at the end for this Dancing with the Stars: The Results Show. Will it be Nancy or Rob who goes home?

After an appropriate amount of build-up from Tom and Brooke...

Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke are SAFE!!!

Which means that...

Nancy Grace and Tristan MacManus have been eliminated from Dancing with the Stars!

Not a shock, but it's impressive how not-inevitable that seemed. Nice tribute to Tristan from Nancy. Goodbye Nancy! Farewell, sweet Tristan!
