'Dancing with the Stars' Week 8: Elimination Predictions
'Dancing with the Stars' Week 8: Elimination Predictions

If I say that Kurt Warner will go home often enough, do you think it will happen? I'm starting to wonder at this point.

Week 8 showed us an awful lot of good, all-around dancing from pretty much everyone. Some of the dancers did better than others when it came to the Instant Dances (and everyone did way better than I'd expected), but no one had a bad showing. With the competition now down to the final five couples, an all-around good night makes for some tough predictions.

But I must soldier on and say something, right? It's not like I have a perfect prediction record to maintain at this point, so I might as well just go for it!

Most likely to leave:
Kurt Warner (choreographed score = 24, Instant Dance score = 24)
Kurt was in full goofy form in week 8. For the waltz, this was a bit of a problem, but it was perfect for the cha cha during the Instant Dance. Kurt is definitely not at the same level as some of the other dancers (as mentioned by the judges), and his solid performances might not be enough anymore. That said, he's obviously got a strong fan base. And some adorable, vote-getting kids.

Bristol Palin (choreographed score = 24, Instant Dance score = 23)
Bristol and Mark's tango was one of their better dances, with both dancers displaying an appropriate level of angry passion. The samba, however, really wasn't so good. When you can't choreograph, you depend on musicality. And Bristol isn't so good at that. Bristol and Mark ended up with the fully deserved lowest scores of the night.

Most deserving of elimination:
Bristol Palin
This isn't the first time that Bristol's scores have put her at the bottom. And she was the only star not to rock the Instant Dance. It's long past time for Bristol to leave. But will she? So far, it hasn't seemed very likely. I would say Kurt is the more likely (although less deserving) elimination tonight.

Should be worried:
Kyle Massey (choreographed score = 27, Instant Dance score = 29)
People have worried about Kyle's impending elimination since before the season started. With his significantly lower level of fame, there is always a danger of not getting the votes. But performances like we saw last night combined with high scores should keep Kyle safe from elimination. We hope!

Jennifer Grey (choreographed score = 27, Instant Dance score = 30)
Jennifer's high scores (the first perfect scores of the season!) should ensure her survival for another week. But high scores have met approximately nothing in the past few weeks. With the producers choosing to highlight Jennifer's aches and pains **ad nauseum, some voters may have been turned off. And no one ever likes the early front-runner.

Probably safe...  For now:
Brandy (choreographed score = 29, Instant Dance score = 28)
Brandy's Instant Dance wasn't great, but her choreographed performance more than made up for it. Brandy has managed to consistently deliver passionate, nearly perfect dances since early in the competition. Her elimination would be the biggest of upsets.

Who do you predict for elimination in week 8? Will we get another upset? And how do you think the Instant Dances will affect the outcome? Let us know by leaving a comment below!
