Only four remain. The 12 original competitors on Dancing with the Stars season 14 have been reduced to Donald Driver, Katherine Jenkins, Maria Menounos and William Levy. And one of them will be gone after this week. Keep reading for a preview of the Dancing with the Stars season 14 semi-finals.

The Standings

It's close.

Dancing with the Stars season 14 has given us an unusual situation: There is no clear and definite front runner as we go into the semi-finals. All of the remaining four have danced consistently well for most of the season, and their cumulative scores reflect this.

1. Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas -- 272 total points
2. Willliam Levy and Cheryl Burke -- 265 total points
3. Maria Menounos and Derek Hough -- 262 total points
4. Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd -- 260 total points

What Could This Mean?

The four remaining couples are going into the Dancing with the Stars season 14 semi-finals on a fairly level playing field. There are no big stars represented -- had anyone heard of more than one of these celebrities before the season began? The level of dancing has been similar. Every single remaining competitor has received at least one 10 from the judges.

It's anybody's Mirror Ball to win.

How will the stars make it to next week's finale? Essentially, it's all going to depend on the dances tonight. One bad evening of dance, and a celebrity is going home.

This is actually quite exciting, when you think about it.

The Dances

For Dancing with the Stars week 9, each of the remaining couples will perform two dances. There is a wide variety of styles -- both ballroom and Latin -- with only one style performed by two different dancers.

  • Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd: Waltz, Samba
  • Maria Menounos and Derek Hough: Argentine Tango, Jive
  • William Levy and Cheryl Burke: Tango, Samba
  • Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas: Quickstep, Salsa
