Last month, BuddyTV reported that Dancing with the Stars pro Julianne Hough "will be taking next season off" since she'll be concentrating on her singing career. But she may not be the only professional dancer who won't be returning for season 9. According to Eonline.com, there's a chance that her brother Derek Hough and Mark Ballas will also be leaving the show.

"Mark and I might not be back, either," Derek said. "We have other things going on." "There's a bunch of stuff on the table right now and we're going on tour this summer."

Derek is evidently referring to his and Mark's band, Ballas Hough Band. The two best friends have been playing and making music together for more than a decade, in between touring theatrical productions and ballroom competitions. They have released their debut album, BHB, in March.

"We've been working extremely hard, putting in 14-hour days, playing two shows a night," Derek said. "But we do it because it's what we love. And hopefully, this album will speak to an audience who will look at us as singers, writers, and players. We want to be known for our music."

"We've got to see what happens. But it would be crazy, all three of us...leaving at the same time," said Derek, referring to his, Mark's and sister Julianne's exit on Dancing with the Stars.

Meanwhile, Derek, who was recently eliminated with celebrity partner Lil' Kim, is making room for L.A.'s Entertainment Industry Foundation Revlon Run/Walk For Women cancer benefit - a disease that hits close to home. Derek's stepmother is a breast cancer survivor, who's been in remission for about a year and a half.

"Luckily she got through it," Derek said. "She's doing great. She's doing wonderful and it's just a blessing. It's quite easy to say, 'Oh, I'm too busy. I can't do it.' But for things like this, you've got to find time. You've got to make things happen. You've got to be there for people."
