After a week of no eliminations, things are more or less back to normal on week 6 of Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars. And by more or less, there are at least two weird things happening. First, the scores from last week's dances will be added to the scores from this week in order to determine who is eliminated. Second, the couples will all be dancing to country music.

That should be interesting...

Week 6 Dances

This week, we get Country Week. Yes, because what goes better with ballroom dancing than country music? Here are the dance styles totally suited to country music that we will see:

  • Kelly Monaco and Val Chmerkovskiy: Tango
  • Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy: Rumba
  • Emmitt Smith and Cheryl Burke: Foxtrot
  • Apolo Anton Ohno and Karina Smirnoff: Viennese Waltz
  • Shawn Johnson and Derek Hough: Cha-Cha
  • Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani: Viennese Waltz
  • Gilles Marini and Peta Murgatroyd: Cha-Cha
  • Sabrina Bryan and Louis Van Amstel: Rumba

There will also be another Group Dance in week 6 of Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars. This time, however, the judges will choose the three couples they think have the best individual moves during the dance. Those couples will be awarded extra points for the night as follows: 6 points for the best pair, 4 points for the second-best, and 2 points for third. The other dancers will get no additional points added.

The Group Dance will have a country-western theme as well.

The Week 5 Scores

Since the week 5 scores will be combined with those scores earned in Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars week 6, we should keep them in mind as we prepare for new performances.

2. (tie) Gilles Marini and Peta Murgatroyd -- 56.5 (29.5 + 27)

8. Kelly Monaco and Val Chmerkovskiy -- 51.5 (24.5 + 27)

The Overall Scores

Going into week 6, we are at least beginning to see who the front-runners might be in this All-Star competition.

1. Gilles Marini and Peta Murgatroyd -- 161 total points
2. (tie) Sabrina Bryan and Louis Van Amstel -- 159.5 total points
2. (tie) Shawn Johnson and Derek Hough -- 159.5 total points
4. Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani-- 155.5 total points

7. Kelly Monaco and Val Chmerkovskiy -- 150 total points
8. Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy -- 139 total points

These numbers don't mean anything in and of themselves, of course. Only last week and this week matter -- along with the votes -- when choosing who will stay and who will leave Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars in week 6.
