ABC has finalized its spring premiere dates, including the start of the newest season of
Dancing with the Stars and two new dramas that will be taking over for current shows.
Dancing with the Stars season 18 will kick off Monday, March 18 at 8pm with a new crop of 12 celebrities trying to take home the Mirror Ball Trophy. It's unknown when the cast will be announced, but all three judges will return.
Before
DWTS gets underway,
The Bachelor will get a special two-night event at the end of the February. The romantic reality show with Juan Pablo airs for two hours Mondays at 8pm, but on Tuesday, February 25, it will air a special second night at 8pm.
The second night of
The Bachelor will be used to help launch the premiere of
Mind Games on Tuesday, February 25 at 10pm. The drama centers on two brothers (Christian Slater and Steve Zahn) who run a company that uses psychological manipulation to change people's lives. It comes from Kyle Killen, creator of FOX's short-lived
Lone Star and NBC's short-lived
Awake.
Mind Games was originally set to premiere March 11 after
Killer Women ended its eight-week run, but the low ratings for
Killer Women have led to it being prematurely axed two weeks early.
Finally, ABC will debut its new drama
The Black Box Thursday, April 24 at 10pm. It will replace
Scandal, which is ending early this season due to star Kerry Washington's pregnancy.
The Black Box is a medical drama in which a famous neurologist with bipolar disorder diagnoses the complex mysteries of the brain.
These two new dramas join the previously announced Resurrection, starting Sunday, March 9 at 9pm, and the comedy Mixology, premiering Wednesday, February 26 at 9:30pm.
