With the three-month old WGA strike coming to an end, networks have gradually started to generate plans to salvage what's left of the current TV season. According to The Futon Critic, CBS is planning to film additional episodes of all three
CSI series, to be aired some time in April and May. While this news might get fans' hopes up, the following information is still likely to change.
CSI: NY, the second spin-off series from the original CBS forensic drama
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, is expected to shoot six to seven new episodes to air in April or May. Like
CSI: NY,
CSI: Miami and
CSI are likely to film six to seven fresh episodes that are also set to air in April.
Meanwhile, fans can relive the mysteries of past episodes of
CSI: NY every Wednesday at 10pm on CBS. Tonight, the network will be airing reruns of “You Only Die Once,” which is the third episode of season 3. This installment features Manhattan's richest people as they are robbed and all clues point to a fancy vehicle that has Mac and Stella puzzled.
This is followed by next week's episode “Time's Up,” in which a dying man confesses to a murder 24 hours before it happens and Mac investigates the possibility of time travel. On February 27, fans can relive the virtual action in “Down the Rabbit Hole,” which finds Mac as he explores the virtual world to investigate a woman's murder.
CSI: NY kicks off the month of March with the episode “Boo” where the CSIs debunk the Amityville horror myth while investigating a mass murder at the infamous house on the south shore of Long Island. Last but not the least, Mac and the team find a man stabbed to death in Madison Square Park and a woman shot dead on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in the episode “Commuted Sentences,” which airs on March 12.

Anna Belknap as Lindsay Monroe,
