is reporting that CBS has decided to place an episode of Criminal Minds
in the coveted post-Super Bowl time slot. This is an interesting decision, given Criminal Minds
demographic (which tends to skew upwards) and that show's already steady ground regarding viewers. You'd think that Criminal Minds
would have nearly reached it's ratings potential; there's just not much more to gain.
The sophomore comedy How I Met Your Mother
, was rumored to be the front-runner for this time slot, but apparently the CBS brass has thought better of it, although I can't imagine why.
How I Met Your Mother
seems like the perfect show to expose to the large Super Bowl audience, given that a) it's a very good show, b) it still hasn't reached it's prime, and c) there are tons of people who have yet to be exposed to the show. There is still time for CBS to change their minds, I suppose, but it looks as if this is CBS's final decision.
