I'm going to come right out and admit that I've never seen an episode of Cougar Town
but after watching this video announcing the show's season 4 premiere, I think I may have to change that. I figure that any cast that can make a video as funny and quirky as this one is bound to produce a pretty funny TV show, too.
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.
The video starts out with Hopkins singing the line: "You thought we were gone, we thought so, too. But now TBS has brought us back to you," which is of course poking fun at the fact that Cougar Town was dropped by its original network (ABC) and then rescued out of the cancellation ashes by TBS. The cable network announced this spring that it would be picking up the series and now we have an actual start date for the new season.
In addition to featuring all of the men in the cast dancing shirtless on a table (yes, you read that right), the video also manages to give a few tidbits about what we can expect in the fourth season. Here's what we've been promised so far:
The show will continue to be funny.
There will be lots more wine drinking.
The guys got fat during the break but they swear they're working on it.
Like I said above, any cast who can put together a fun video like this one definitely has my attention and I'm going to be looking around to see if I can watch the first three seasons of Cougar Town online anywhere. If the show is half as witty as the video, then I'm sure I'm going to enjoy the heck out of it. Not that I'm expecting everyone to break out in song during the episodes, but I like to see casts who work together and have fun on set.. I think it shows in their work on screen when they have fun off screen and this video has proven that this is one cast that is enjoying their jobs.
As the video says, Cougar Town comes back on Tuesday January 8 and I think I'll be tuning in to the show that night, what about you? Are you a fan who's excited that the series got picked up by TBS or a newbie like me who's planning to check it out for the first time on the cable network?
