Born on November 20, 1975 in Bayonne, New Jersey, Joshua Eli Gomez is the younger brother of actor Rick Gomez, who was popularized by his portrayal of Sgt. George Luz, in the HBO television miniseries Band of Brothers. Joshua Gomez has appeared in Law & Order where he played Edwin Morales, and in Invasion where he played Scott. In 2005, he was cast for the role of James Mackeroy in the series Without a Trace, and appeared on Union Jackass' pilot as Julio. In 2007, he was cast for the role of Morgan in the NBC series, Chuck.

Morgan Grimes of NBC's Chuck is played by Joshua Gomez. Morgan is the best friend of Chuck Bartowski, a Buy More Electronics store worker turned CIA secret agent. Upon opening an email from his old friend, Bryce, Chuck accidentally downloaded tons of vital government information, instantly making him the most important person for the CIA and the most sought-after target of terrorists and assassins alike.
