Good news Chuck fans! Instead of keeping the spry dramedy on hold until March, NBC has set an earlier-than-expected return for the "average computer-whiz-next-door." Chuck kicks off its third season on Sunday, January 10 at 9pm with two action-packed, back-to-back original episodes before officially moving to its regular timeslot on Mondays, beginning January 11 at 8pm. Yes, this means we'll be getting three hours of Zachary Levi over two nights is a row!

This isn't exactly bad news for Heroes, which currently occupies the Monday 8pm slot. The ratings starved drama will still be part of the network's slate, airing two new episodes from 8pm to 10pm on Monday, January 4 before moving back to the 9pm block beginning January 11.

"Josh [Schwartz] and Chris [Fedak] and the writing team are doing a great job this season, and we think the loyal fan base for this show will be happy to see it back on the NBC schedule," NBC president Angela Bromstad said in a statement.

Tons of new adventures await Chuck Bartowski (Zachary Levi) and Agent Sarah Walker (Yvonne Strahovski) as they come across new characters and guest stars this season in the form of Angie Harmon, Brandon Routh, Robert Patrick, Armand Assante, Steve Austin, Vinnie Jones and Kristine Kreuk.

Chuck, which is currently filming its 10th episode of season 3, has already been given six additional episode orders by the network, bringing the show's total order to 19 episodes. According to co-creator Chris Fedak, the original 13 episodes will function as one unit while the addition six installments will serve as another mini-season.
