I won't call the CAT Squad a poor man's Charlie's Angels. (Except it is.) And I won't even mention how predictable the mole was. (Except I just did.) Sigh. Let's just appreciate this episode for what it was and get on with this recap, shall we?

Team Work Makes the Dream Work

The Clandestine Attack Team, aka the CAT Squad, established in 2003, consisted of cold-hearted Carina, Zondra the bitch!, Amy the party girl, and (the unseen narrator's pride and joy) Sarah.

Morgan daydreaming about Chuck's description of CAT Squad, priceless! Chuck trying so darned hard to please Sarah by getting people from her past to come to their engagement party, not so fun. Haven't we already beaten this issue to death?

Anyhow, Chuck gets Morgan to spill the deets on his ex-lover Carina's information, so he can bring the CAT Squad back together. Before long, the girls arrive by helicopter to whisk Sarah away. I interrupt this recap for a delightful Morgan mot: "Is it Close Encounters? Is this really happening?"

The Morning After

Hollywood, Vegas, Miami! Mikhail Gorbachev dancing! "Head ... hurts," Sarah says as she lies in bed. All the signs of a fun time, but the band isn't back together. Apparently, many years ago Sarah found a bug in Zondra's boot, and it stirred bad feelings that she still isn't over.

Over in Morgan's room, Carina ... in the flesh?! She finds something different about Martin Morgan. But he's in love with Alex and will not fall for Carina's sultry ways.

At the dining room table, awkward silence. But as everyone parts and Chuck says, "No more surprises", Sarah's car explodes. Chuck flashes on shrapnel taken from Carina's leg. Two words: Augusto Gaez.

All Hands on Deck

Gaez, leader of the Gentle Hands (terrorists for hire, as the name doesn't suggest), is the CATs' archnemesis. They could never track him down, but Beckman orders the ladies to reunite, head to Rio and extradite him back to the U.S. But uh oh, he has a call. Perfect plan, you say?

It's Carnival in Rio! But there's no time to party. The three CATs, minus the injured Carina who's back at Castle, are on the hunt for Gaez. Casey and Chuck are on back-up duty, but as soon as the women follow Gaez into the VIP room, they're surrounded.

Seems Gaez wants to recruit them as operatives. But all Sarah wants to know is the identity of the mole. Just as she escapes from her restraints and gets the upper hand on Gaez, Chuck falls through the ceiling and causes a ruckus. Luckily, Casey manages to nab Gaez, and they all head back to Castle.

Nice to Mole You

As Casey interrogates Gaez, surprise, Amy the perky party girl, reveals her true colors. She was the traitor all along! Shucks. And all that's left between Gaez, Amy, and freedom from the Buy More? Chuck. He does all he can, but since he was taught to be a gentleman, the other CATs eventually take Amy down. Kitty out!

Party Time, Excellent

At the engagement party, Sarah makes amends with Zondra and Carina. They're going to be her bridesmaids! Minus the machine guns, of course. Sarah also asks Ellie to be her maid of honor.

Chuck apologizes to Sarah (yet again), but she tells him that he doesn't need to stop helping her. He's perfect, she says, but she quickly changes the topic. "Let's party!" she yells.

Morgan straightens things out with Alex whom he kept ditching for fear of her finding out about his relationship with Carina. But he finally utters the three magic words, and they are way too cute. Love!

Thoughts on the episode? Who's curious to meet more of Sarah's family members? And why did Casey mention to Chuck the fact that he chose not to disrupt Kathleen's life?
