Toccara Jones was born on March 13, 1981 in Dayton, Ohio. She majored in Dance at the Stivers School for the Arts located in St. Anne's Hill, Dayton.
In 2004, Toccara Jones was a contestant on CW's
America's Next Top Model cycle 3, where she became the eight person to be eliminated from the show.
After her stint on ANTM, Wilhelmina Models signed her into contract as a plus-sized model. She was featured in the covers of numerous magazines such as Be, The Next Level Magazine, Braids, King Black Men and Black Hair. She was also seen in the pages of Essence, Vibe and Smooth.
In 2005, she was cast as Marsha on CW's sitcom
All of Us . She also appeared as a waitress on the Emmy nominated sitcom
Girlfriends .
In 2006, she was part of the “In Sanatorium” episode of
Celebrity Paranormal Project , where the participants were left in a haunted location for a night and were asked to identify paranormal activities throughout their stay in the place. She also appeared on several episodes of The
Tyra Banks Show and hosted BET's live interactive game show Take the Cake.

Toccara Jones is one of the alumni on VH1's reality TV series
Celebrity Fit Club : Boot Camp. The show divides the 8 contestants into two groups and the teams are given several physical challenges every week. Each members are also weighed regularly to see if they achieved their target goal weights. A team composed of a nutritionist, a psychologist and a physical trainer oversees the participants. Jones was part of the second season, where she was team captain for the team called The Winners. She lost 32 pounds but her team lost to the Sizzlin' Soul and White Ice team.
