Faith Alexis Ford was born on September 14, 1964, in Alexandria, Louisiana and was raised in Pineville. She began acting in high school plays and after moving to New York City at seventeen, she began to model and appear in commercials. Her first television role was in ABC's
One Life to Live , and her first major role was on the NBC's Another World where she played Julia Shearer. Later on she moved to Hollywood and she was cast for the short-lived sitcom The Popcorn Kid, Thirtysomething, and Murphy Brown. In 1998 she executively produced her own short-lived sitcom, Maggie Winters. In the late 1990s, Ford, together with her second husband Campion Murphy co-produced an original short film, Citation of Merit. Ford's later television appearances include those in the television series Hope and Faith, the movie The Pacifier, and the latest comedy series from ABC, Carpoolers.
