Emily VanCamp is a Canadian actress who was born on May 12, 1986 in Port Perry, Ontario. One of her most well-known roles was as Amy Nicole Abbott in the WB network’s television drama series
Everwood. Among the other television shows that she has worked on are Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Glory Days, and
Law and Order: Special Victims Unit. VanCamp has also acted in a number of feature films, among them The Ring Two, A Different Loyalty, and The House on Turk Street. She is a ballet dancer and an avid photography buff, and also fluent in French.
Rebecca Harper is portrayed by Emily VanCamp in the ABC network’s Emmy Award-winning television drama series Brothers and Sisters. She is the daughter of William Walker, who is the deceased patriarch of the Walker clan, and her mother is William’s longtime mistress Holly Harper. When she was only 16 years old, one of Rebecca’s teachers entered into an affair with her, and continued it even after his wife discovered the truth. In spite of the fact that a lot of other people advised Holly to press charges against him, Rebecca begged her not to. The affair continued until the teacher committed suicide, when his wife learned of his repeated infidelity.
