Bones: Preview of "The Crank in the Shaft"

BonesOn the last Silence of the Lambs-like episode of Bones, a teenager finds a dismembered body in a weird purple pool of water.  Bones (Emily Deschanel) and Booth (David Boreanaz) arrived at the scene to find that the head was missing.  Later on, thanks to Wendell's help, the body was identified as that of sci-fi writer Jared Addison, who wasn't the most mentally stable person in the world, to say the least. Sweets (John Francis Daley) used his psychological insights to get into the victim's potentially crazy head, which, by the way, was still missing.  So they tried to examine the bones without the head and Wendell noticed a fracture in the finger bone.

This was the part where they took those hilarious clips on Brennan asking Sweets whether he has had a relationship with an older woman – for research.  Zack continues to study the case from his psychiatric facility while Hodgins gave him some information.

On tomorrow's episode of Bones called “The Crank in the Shaft,” Fox lets us in on these details:

“The remains of a despised office manager are discovered in an elevator shaft, and Booth and Brennan must figure out which employee killed him.  After some investigating, they find that the manager had more than a fair share of complaints on file.  Meanwhile, Angela and Hodgins try to make peace in the lab after their break-up.”

In other news, if you missed it, we reported previously that star of Roswell and now Samurai Girl Brendan Fehr (another B) was cast on the Fox procedural as Jared Booth, brother of Boreanaz' character.  He will take on a role that would reportedly stir up the awkward, vague pairing of Bones and Booth.  It was already revealed that this romantic angle will be explored during this season – in dream sequences.

Catch Bones tomorrow night 8pm on Fox.
